«It’s better to get sweated three times than glassed once!» - Лучше три раза покрыться потом, чем один раз инеем!
Irish: Anglicized form of the Gaelic name Aodán, a diminutive of AODH. This was borne by various early Irish saints, among them the 7th-century apostle of Northumbria. It has been revived in the 20th century, in particular during the past couple of decades, by parents conscious of their Irish ancestry.
Variant: Edan.
Cognate: Welsh: Aeddan.
